Our Story

Located on the Lomas de la Hacienda OMS mission campus in Atizapán de Zaragoza, La Hacienda Christian Academy first opened its doors as a service to the local missionary community in the fall of 1994. There were seven Kindergarten through Grade 6 students enrolled.

A few years later, ca. 1999, Northside Academy began operations on the same campus. This high school was organizationally independent from the elementary school.

In the spring of 2002, the two academies merged, and the new K-12 organization was renamed Mexico City Christian Academy (MCCA). There were 48 students enrolled that first year.

The Lomas de la Hacienda property was sold in the spring of 2003. After spending the 2003-2004 academic year in Viveros de Tlalnepantla, MCCA moved to its current location on the CMFi Manos de Vida campus located in the Eagles Neighborhood of Atizapán de Zaragoza.

MCCA operated under the auspices of an active, local board from the time of the merger through the 2014-2015 school year. During the fall of the 2014-2015 academic year, the MCCA board, sensing an ever-increasing need to turn the academy over to an educational organization, began negotiations with the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS). An agreement was finalized and during the 2015-2016 academic year, MCCA officially became a member of NICS.
